Frustrated with DIY WordPress themes that promise to be “easy to use” and are anything but?

Why waste hundreds of hours searching for the perfect theme and trying to customize it when you can have the perfect theme built for you, from scratch?

We specialize in creating custom WordPress websites that look clean and professional, load quickly (particularly on phones), and are easy for you to use behind the scenes.

Our highly skilled and experienced team includes a project manager and content editor (Laura), a graphic designer, and a website developer/coder.

“Fabulous service, gentle guidance, lots of patience, and a beautiful product. Laura Christianson not only did a great job updating my website, she also tutored me on how to navigate day-to-day updates. I love the results! Highly recommended.”

How much does it cost?

Because we build made-to-order WordPress websites that uniquely reflect your brand, we don’t quote random fees out of thin air. That would be doing you a disservice, because we could quote a ridiculously low fee (such as $250) and then charge you a fortune for every little thing you want on your site.

We refuse to nickel-and-dime our clients.

When we prepare your proposal, we estimate the MOST we think your entire project will cost, including everything on your website wish list. Some of those wish list items may include:

  • Website Hosting – We offer affordable website hosting if you need it.
  • Email Marketing – We set you up with an email marketing service (Mailerlite, Flodesk, AWeber, ConvertKit, or MailChimp) if you need it.
  • Training – When your new website launches, Laura personally trains you how to use it (included in your website fee).
  • Website Maintenance – We’re here for you throughout the life of your website, to help with updates, maintenance, and general hand-holding and encouragement (management fees are negotiated separately, post-launch).

We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at just how affordable our prices are for the prompt, personal attention we’ll give your website project. For a range of fees you’re likely to pay, watch my informational video, “How Much Does a Website Cost?”

Many of our clients tell us they quickly recoup their website investment because new customers hire them solely because they are impressed by their website. For example:

Christi McGuire, Editor, Publishing Consultant, |

“A new client told me that he chose me because of the ‘welcoming and relaxed feel’ he got from my website. He wanted a particular personality in an editor, and the design of my site made that come across. It’s that ‘wow’ factor the Blogging Bistro team created. You created a much better site than I could imagine—because you captured my ‘essence.'”

One-page and two-page websites

In addition to our multi-page websites, we offer one-page and two-page websites.

These sites are ideal for emerging entrepreneurs and pre-published authors who who want to feature a minimal amount of tightly-written content and need a professional web presence in order to pitch proposals to prospects, editors, and agents.

This option displays all your content on one page, or on two pages (with the second page being your blog or podcast).

Our one-page and two-page sites are custom-designed and custom-programmed, and you’ll receive the same high level of personal service that our multi-page website clients enjoy.

“Laura and her team do an outstanding job! The first website they designed for me was gorgeous and the second even more so. Not only beautiful, but user-friendly for the visitor—and for me on the back end. Laura listened to my needs, translated my vague ideas onto the screen, and talked me through everything in a clear and logical manner. Recommended with great enthusiasm!”
