In this illustrated tutorial, you’ll learn how to embed the replay of a Facebook Live video on your blog or website in six easy steps.
Short on time but still want to read this tutorial? Click this link, enter your email, and I’ll send you a free printable PDF.
After you’ve finished filming your Facebook Live video and it appears in your Timeline, click the time stamp, located directly below the title of your Page.
Click the downward-pointing arrow, located in the upper righthand corner of your video. This will pop open a dialog box. Click “Embed” to get the code for your video.
Copy the code.
You’ll notice two additional options in this dialog box. If you want to display your entire Facebook post, including the video PLUS any text, links, etc. you included, click “Include full post.”
To see what your embedded video will look like on your blog, click “Show Preview.” While viewing the Preview, turn on and off the “Include full post” option so you can see what your video will look like when showing the full post (or when showing just the video player).
Start a new blog post or open/create a new page on your website. If you’re using WordPress, click the “Text” tab to display the HTML code for the post.
Paste in the embed code from Step 3.
Click the “Visual” tab, and the video player should display in your text editor.
Click “Save Draft,” and then “Preview” to see what your post will look like, live.
Here’s my embedded Facebook Live video, which is displaying the full Facebook post, including the text below the player.
